The GCU Foundation Run to Fight Children's Cancer is held on a flat, fast course around Grand Canyon University and the surrounding neighborhood. The two-loop 10K is a running race only. The one-loop 5K is for walkers and runners. The quarter-mile Cancer Survivors Walk is held after both races are completed. All 5K and 10K runners are encouraged to cheer on the survivors during their walk to the finish line.
10K & 5K Runs: 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.
The top three 10K and 5K Run finishers in each of the age group categories will receive awards. Age group awards will be awarded based on Chip Time.
Run to Fight Children's Cancer is the signature philanthropic endeavor of Grand Canyon University Foundation and is the largest fundraising event in Arizona dedicated solely to children's cancer. Proceeds from the race stay in our community, directly benefiting families through Children's Cancer Network and Phoenix Children's Hospital.
